In memory of a friend!

When Death comes calling sudden to a man in his youth, it is tragic! Too many questions left unanswered! Today morning as the morning sun rose, he left quick without notice. How could it happen now? What could he have been! What was his dreams and ambitions? Why now?

There is no answer. Just a loud silence and the constant thought that you will not meet this friend again. He may have been far away in another country, but when death calls, it as though a mental chess piece standing by you has been removed off the chessboard of life.

"He who has gone, so we but cherish his memory, abides with us, more potent, nay, more present than the living man." ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Rest in Peace my friend!

Knowing him, this poem below would have been his choice of words too.

Farewell My Friend

It was beautiful as long as it lasted
The journey of my life.
I have no regrets whatsoever
save the pain I'll leave behind.
Those dear hearts who love and care...
And the strings pulling at the heart and soul...
The strong arms that held me up
When my own strength let me down.
At every turning of my life I came across good friends,
Friends who stood by me,
Even when the time raced me by.
Farewell, farewell my friends
I smile and bid you goodbye.
No, shed no tears for I need them not
All I need is your smile.
If you feel sad do think of me
for that's what I'll like when you live in the hearts
of those you love, remember then
you never die.
~ Rabindranath Tagore

It's bitter indeed to lose a friend; nothing could fill that void. But we comfort ourselves with the fact that now they may be at peace. Even though our questions shall remain unanswered.

"If you feel sad do think of me
for that's what I'll like when you live in the hearts
of those you love, remember then
you never die."

Nobody could have put it forth more beautifully than Rabindranath Tagore.

May your friends soul rest in peace. Perhaps he might have met a friend of mine. He left us in a hurry too
